Homemade Dog Food Treat Recipe #2: Tuna
Biscuits
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 cup uncooked oatmeal
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 small can tuna in oil (do not
drain)
- 1/3 cup water
Pulverize oatmeal in a blender or
processor and make it into flour. Lightly blend tuna with the oil +
water then combine with all other ingredients. Form mixture into a
big old fun ball. Knead for several minutes until it gets soft. Cut
into doggy-treat sized shapes and place on a cookie sheet spayed so
it won't stick. Bake them at 350 for 20-25 minutes then turn off the
heat and let the biscuits cool for several hours to dry and harden
them. Store at room temperature for a several weeks before using.
